I think we all need to internalize this lesson. When I hear my daughter express negative thoughts about herself I realize she learned this from me. We, as women need to reorder our priorities and give up on having the “perfect” body or “perfect” life and just know that what we are or do is enough.

Thanks for the update, Patty. Ralph spoke with Hilary Saturday and was so happy to hear her voice and to have a real conversation. I am so glad she is home, but she obviously needs people with her. I am keeping early December free so I can help if needed. I know your mom will have great input on how things are progressing.

I hear some of the same things that you cite from my students. When I press them about decision that affect them, some actually say that they still don’t care.

I was just saying to D yesterday that i’m wearing BLUE all November for “Sky awareness” because people just don’t seem to KNOW about the SKY and really be AWARE of it. Ugh. HATE awareness crap.
