Today Andy made Beignets, we all ate them and I took the photos.

We started with a Bignet Mix…

Then Andy patted out the dough.

Then rolled out the dough and cut them into squares…

Then fried them in hot oil — until they got puffy and light brown.

As you can see, they drained a bit on the newspaper, then hopped into the powdered sugar.

And the result is a big pile of yummy!

These are best eaten hot…. If you’re comfortable with pie dough and hot oil, they’re an easy way to have a fantastic treat on a Saturday morning.
