Homeward bound…

We’ve had a fantastic time in Colorado — saw lots of wildlife, many mountains and lots of other cool stuff…. to put it mildly.

We’ve become “regulars” at several Colorado Starbucks — where they know our order, which is kind of unique.

We’ve coined several new Pandy phrases, such as “snownado”, “Sversofa” and “Grandpa Ledo” –We’ve seen Elk (elfs), mule deer, big horn sheep and a variety of birds, one of which we named a “Rocky Mountain Parrot”.

I now know that I can drive the road to Bear Lake in RMNP in the snowy dark early morning and make it back in one piece.

Tomorrow we’ll cross Nebraska.  Nearly the whole darned state — It kinda makes me tired just to think about it, but — our vacation, like most good things, must come to an end.

According to Hubby, my cats miss me.  I know Max and Andy miss one another and the joy of falling into my own bed will be wonderful.  True enough, I’ll miss my 24/7 travel companion, someone to call a tailgater a “jackhole” for me and who has an uncanny ability to spot a Starbucks… but we’ll have other adventures in the “Pattybr” mobile, and we’ll enjoy them just as much as we have this one.
For now, I’ll leave you with a photo of my new “happy place” — the mental image I use to be still during PET scans etc…

  1. Did you rest in that spot?
Sounds like you’re having a swell time recharging!

  2. That came up when I googled “Nebraska image”…. and I thought it was amusing.
